Paper Pieced Happy Birthday - Kelly Bates

Hello friends! A bright and bold card design today featuring a fun new paper piecing die and one of my favourite paper collection Paper Rose have produced so let’s get into it!

Paper Rose Products used: Paper Piece Rectangle Metal Die, Big Black and White Sentiment Sheets, Gold Shimmer Cardstock, White Smooth Cardstock, Pomegranate Paper Collection, Clear Crystals, Glue Pen

Other products used: Die cutting machine, foam tape, jewel picker, tweezers, small scissors for fussy cutting.

Technique: I folded my sheet of Smooth White cardstock in half and set aside. I die cut 2 of the Paper Piece Rectangles from the Gold Shimmer Cardstock and 1 from a darker piece of the Pomegranate Paper Collection. From another sheet of the Pomegranate Paper, I fussy cut a group of flowers. I glued the 2 gold dies together, then glued that to the front of my card. I inlaid the patterned paper into the gaps using my jewel picker and tweezers. I glued my flower cluster to the bottom left and foam mounted my sentiment to the upper right. I finished the card with several clear crystals.
