Lots And Lots of Rectangles Card - Kelly Bates

Lots and Lots of Rectangles – Paper Rose

Hello friends, a bright and cheerful card today, so let’s get into it!

Paper Rose Products used: Lots and Lots of Rectangles die set, Doodle Flowers Stamp set, Doodle Flowers die set, Stitched Squares Nesting die set,  Ultra Violet Paper Collection, Big Black and White Sentiment Sheets, White Smooth Cardstock (card base)

Other products used: scrap panel of cardstock, vellum, liquid glue, foam tape, scrap piece Neenah classic crest solar white 80lb, alcohol markers, black ink.

Technique: I started by cutting a set of the lots and lots of rectangles from two different sheets within the paper collection… to get a clean cut you may need to use a metal shim put some low tack tape across the back of each to hold each set together. I then ran my scrap piece through with the rectangles and an embossing mat to give me a guide on where to place them. I started gluing each rectangle back in place from the centre out, alternating the paper pattern each time until I got to the last rectangle. I then set the panel aside to dry under a heavy book. I stamped my flowers from the Doodle Flowers stamp set in Memento black ink, allowed to dry then coloured the flowers. I die cut with the coordinating dies and used one of the leaf dies to cut three leaves from the vellum. Lastly, I die cut my sentiment out using a Stitched Square die. To assemble I used foam tape to mount the sentiment and flowers, and liquid glue to secure the leaves in underneath.
