Dream Big Easel Card - Kelly Bates
Hello friends and happy 2024! Lots of things going on here at the moment and I needed a time out so I sat down and decided to make myself a pretty easel card using the recently released Candy Basics 6×6 Paper Collection, so let’s get to it!
I created this card by taking a Top Fold AU Sized Card Base and folding the front panel in half so it stood like a tent. Then I die cut a panel of Smooth White Cardstock from the largest Stitched Rectangle Nesting Die and the green patterned paper from the Candy Basics 6×6 Paper Collection from the second largest rectangle and glued them together.
I used the Ivory Cardstock in the Golden Dream Shimmer Cardstock pack and die cut it using the Love Hearts Metal Die set twice. I glued those together and set aside under an acrylic block. I die cut the solid heart using a piece of patterned paper from the Candy Basics collection. I then cut my leaves from Smooth White Cardstock using the Little Foliage 2 die set and inked them in Distress Ink Antique Linen.
I cut my sentiment out of the Rainbow Poppies Sentiment Sheets and then assembled the card as shown. For the inside stopper I used 3 pieces of Smooth White cardstock cut to 1/4in strips, and topped it with a 1/4in piece of coordinating patterned paper, again from the Candy Basics collection.
Thanks for visiting, see you again next week! – Kelly
