You Mean the World to Me - Kelly Bates
Hello friends! Into February we go 😀 In case you missed it, I am super excited to announce that I’m back for a third year with the Paper Rose Design Team. I adore their products and I can’t wait to share with you some of the fantastic new goodies they bring to the market this year! Today’s card isn’t just a Valentine’s card, it’s perfect all year round to let someone know how much they mean to you, so let’s get into it!
Paper Rose Products used: Smooth White Cardstock, Stitched Rectangle Frames die, Ella’s Garden Scribble Roses Die Set, Black and White Sentiments
Other products used: Yupo paper, Ruby alcohol ink, scrap black cardstock, die cutting machine, liquid glue
Technique:Â I created my card base by scoring a piece of the white smooth cardstock at the half way point and then burnished with a bone folder. On a piece of Yupo paper I added layer after layer of the Ruby alcohol ink until I was happy with the depth of colour and set aside overnight to dry completely. I die cut 3 of the larger frame die, and 3 of the Rose with Leaves die (using the centre cut-out area of the frame to save on paper) and layered each of those together with glue. I then glued the Yupo panel onto my card base, followed by the frame, and then the rose into the left hand corner. I added 3 strips of black cardstock under my sentiment and then glued it in place.
absoulutley beautiful
