Watercolour Magnolias - Donna Lewis
Hello crafty friends. Things are getting serious around here. After I finish typing this, I’m packing up my craft desk, ready to go into storage for the big trip to Australia! I have a set of two cards to share with you first, my second last share in Japan for a while ( the last will be on the day we fly out!)

The main star of today’s show is the Lovely Florals Magnolia stamp set from Paper Rose Studio, and the matching dies. I first made a watercolour panel using Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover. This gave me a panel with patches of pink and green just perfect for stamping on.

I then stamped a bunch of magnolias onto this panel using Versamark Onyx black ink, and embossed them with clear embossing powder. I then cut these out using the matching dies.

I made two different background panels. One was made using the Twisted citron Distress Ink pad, and spattering with water and ink. I made this panel very pale and subtle. The next background panel is anything but subtle with its bold gold geometric pattern. I love geometrics with florals. I used the Basket Weave Stencil and spread on some gold shimmer paste, before removing the stencil and washing it while the panel dried.

The sentiments come from the Black and White Sentiment strips pack, also from Paper Rose Studio.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these cards, and that we’ll meet again soon for more card goodness! Who knows what country I’ll be in!!! Until next time,
Blessings,
Donna
