Watercolour Blooms - Donna Lewis

Hello crafty friends. My videos and blog posts are running a little behind at the moment, as I’ve been studying so much. My course is HARD!!!! Finally, I’m on holidays now, and I’m catching up on all the fun things I used to do.
Let’s start with a fun card that I made during the term. I didn’t have time to edit the footage for the video until this week, despite making the card last month. You can see the video below.
This fun card could be made by stamping the flowers from the Doodle Circle Duo stamp set onto patterned paper, but sometimes you just have to get out the paints, if you know what I mean. There’s nothing like watching watercolour paint move around on the page to take some of the stress out of your day. I love the Tim Holtz watercolour paper for these bright colours, because it’s a bright white, rather than the ivory that many of my other favourite watercolour papers have. I used just the smaller flower, and heat embossed them in white.
I cut them with scissors then mounted them onto a background made with the Simple Dots 3D embossing folder from Paper Rose Studio. A sentiment from the Paper Rose Happy Birthday Sentiments sheets and some Glitter Enamel Dots from Pink and Main completed the card.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this splash of paint and colour. I’ll be back very soon with some more cards to share – I’ve been editing up a storm in the rainy Victorian weather. Until next time, may your days be full of colour, no matter what the sky is doing!
Blessings,
Donna
