Water-Colouring with Distress Oxides - Jo Herbert

Have you tried watercolouring with re-inkers? I love colouring with the Distress Oxide re-inkers as they give a beautiful watercolour wash finish.
For the background, I have ink blended with Tattered Rose & Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink over the Mega Spot stencil over a white cardstock panel. I then mounted the panel on cream cardstock panel on a side folding card base.
Stamp the beautiful floral Spring Bloom stampset with Versafine Clair ink now watercolour cardstock then heat emboss with WOW! Embossing Powder clear powder. Heatset until it has a sheen to it this way you know you have melted your embossing powder appropriately.  This is to create a great resist technique which is my favourite way to watercolor. I then fussy cut around the image and adhere down on the front panel.
TIP – Be sure to shake the reinker bottle first before dropping them off on a pallet, slick surface.  The best way to pick and pain with this medium is to use an aqua pentel brush type. Dip the tip of the brush in the reinker then pain on the watercolour cardstock.
For the sentiment, I die cut with the hugs, thanks, hello script die with black cardstock and adhered down on the bottom right of the panel.
To add some glimmer and shine I added some mat medium and sprinkled some WOW! Embossing Earth Squid sparkles and some clear rhinestones.
