Tropical Christmas Cards - Irene Smith

🎄☀️ Who says a power outage can stop holiday crafting? ☀️🎄
Our Design Team member @artemismade1 turned a recent power outage into a creative challenge, creating this stylish trio of holiday cards using our Tropical Christmas collection—with a surprisingly simple supply list!

Irene challenged herself to let torn paper do the talking, using simple layers and thoughtful placement to create three completely different designs. The seagull card gives the illusion of peeling back a strip of paper to reveal a colorful, postcard-inspired beach scene. The festive red card combines torn patterned papers with a snowman cut-apart that cleverly bridges the layers, while layered torn strips on kraft cardstock create a soft, beachy backdrop for the lighthouse design.  ✨ Sometimes the simplest techniques make the biggest impact!

💡 Tearing Paper Tip: Want a distressed, white-core edge? Tear the paper toward you to reveal the grain. Prefer a cleaner deckled edge? Tear the paper away from you!
