Trio of Cards - Jo Herbert
Hi there!
Hi crafty friends, welcome to another blog post for Paper Rose Studio for my design team work.
Today, I am showcasing some foiling elements using Paper Rose Sutdio stencils with the Transfer Gel Duo from Deco Foil.
My foil of choice for today’s card set is from WOW! Embossing Powder. Not many people know that they have their own collection of foils that work with an array of adhesive mediums.
I have also played with some gorgeous pattern paper, if you did not know Paper Rose Studio have a HUGE and BEAUTIFUL array of pattern papers that come in both 12″ x 12″ and 6″ x 6″ sizes. The smaller of the sizes makes it for easy cardmaking.
The duo gel can be used for both heat (minc machine) or just adhesive on its own. For all the foil card creations below I have spread the gel through the stencils and waited until the dried. I then pressed the WOW! Fab Foils over the top, if added pressure is needed I used a scoring tool that has a flat edge.
Card 1 – I have used the Weave Stencil and Emily’s Garden Pattern paper for the first card.
Yes, I have fussy cut the large floral arrangement from the pattern paper collection and placed that over the Bright Gold foiled image. This pattern pack also has an array of sentiments that coordinate with the pattern paper making it easy to finish the card off.
Card 2 – I have used the Sweet Foliage , Scalloped Circle frames, Emily’s Garden pattern paper and Hello dies.
I did make a full foiled panel however I cut it down to add a side element only for today’s card. I created a frame with the Scalloped Circle frame dies and propped it up with foam mount strips. I fussy cut another floral arrangement and added foam mount squares towards the bottom left of the scalloped circle die cut. For the sentiment I have die cut with kraft cardstock from the Hellow, Thanks and Hugs chunky die set. To finish the card off I placed some clear crystals all around, this adds some subtle bling whilst bringing some sparkle to the overall card.
For the third and last card, I have used the Half Circles stencil, Thanks die and the Sweet Blooms Pattern paper as the centred featured element of the card. I added some framing elements with black cardstock to add a bold over all look to the card.
What do you think, have you added some foiling elements to your card? I love that the duo gel gives me an option and flexibility to use heat or not.
