Teddy Celebrates Cards - Donna Lewis

I’m not sure what it was about this paper pack that had me so entranced. Usually when I see a paper pack, I think about what I could do with the papers, design wise. This time, I just wanted to let the scenes shine all by themselves! So that’s what I did.
This paper pack is called Teddy Celebrates, but I haven’t used any of the teddy papers today, nor the celebrate papers with balloons for that matter. What caught my eye were the beautiful scenes in sunset hues. I made a video of the making process, although with such easy cards, it was more about how I chose designs from patterned papers and matched them to dies, all of which are listed at the bottom of this blog. You can watch the video below.
The cards all use a patterned paper scene, and just one die and sentiment. I tried to find a range of dies that could be used for many different paper packs of different styles. I’ve included close up photos of a couple of the cards I made. The one below uses the Card Creator 3 die, which I usually use as a way to cut up and use tiny leftover scraps.
My second card has just a simple frame and the patterned paper. Nothing could be simpler, but the paper is so gorgeous that it felt wrong to do any more!
This next card features one of my favourite dies for highlighting images – the polaroid die. The smaller 3×3 images fit behind the frame perfectly. There are two more cards featured on the video too.
What do you think? This is a departure from my normal cards, but I just loved the paper so much! We’ll resume normal transition again soon with more colouring and piecing!
Until then, may your world be just as it should be .
Blessings,
Donna
