Sweet Rainbows - Kelly Bates

Hello friends! Hopefully you’ve all had a fab Christmas Day and are enjoying your Boxing Day today! My last Paper Rose post for 2020 brings together a couple of my favourite things, the Unicorn Magic stamp set, PR’s inks and the recently released Sweet Rainbow die set, so let’s get in to it!

Other products used: foam panel, gold glitter cardstock, embossing ink, gold embossing powder, alcohol markers, shimmer pen, vellum.
Technique: I started by cutting the rainbow from the middle of a panel cut from the Whisper White cardstock pack and then glued my foam panel to the back of it. I then used my ink pads to colour each of the arches (using the direct to paper method) and set aside to dry. I then stamped my unicorn ink alcohol friendly ink and coloured it in. I used my gold shimmer pen on the wings and set it aside to dry. I die cut the cloud border included in the Sweet Rainbow set from two strips of vellum, and some of the little hearts from gold glitter cardstock. I heat embossed my sentiment onto the shimmer cardstock and mounted glued that into the clouds. I foam mounted my unicorn and added the hearts as a finishing touch.
