Stained Glass Birthday Card - Kelly Bates
Hello friends! Today I’m sharing a bright and fun card using the new Brights Cardstock pack, as well as the newer Stained Glass die, so let’s get into it!
Oct 15: Abstract Stained Glass Frame die, Happy Birthday Large die, Brights Coloured Cardstock, Black and White Sentiment Sheets
Other products used: White cardstock, scrap piece of printer paper, paper trimmer, liquid glue, foam tape.
Technique: To begin I picked 3 colours of cardstock from the Brights cardstock set as well as the black. I trimmed 3 strips from the short side measuring .75” from each of the coloured pieces and cut the black cardstock to slightly bigger than my stained glass die cut, which I cut from white cardstock. I glued my coloured strips on an angle to my piece of scrap printer paper big enough to cut from the stained glass die as well. Once dried and die cut, I mounted the white frame to my black cardstock, then inlayed the coloured pieces. I finished the card using the Large Happy Birthday die set and a sentiment strip.
