Spring Bloom - Donna Lewis

Hello crafty friends. It’s Donna here. As this post goes live, I’ll hopefully be arriving at the other side of the Nullabor plain, having driven across Australia for the past five days. I have an elegant offering for you today, which I coloured and then had to grit my teeth to be able to cut it up!
There is a video of this card, which you can see below. Feel free to hop over to my YouTube channel and follow me if you don’t want to miss any videos.
The image for this card comes from a stamp called Spring Blooms from Paper Rose Studio. I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink , which I know doesn’t smudge with Copic markers, and then coloured it in. I chose an unusual colour scheme with brown leaves, just for a change.
Once I had coloured the whole image, I did the nerve wracking task of cutting it up. I did the maths first on paper, then cut a mock up from scrap paper, because I didn’t trust my maths. I then cut the image for real, and also cut some backing mats from Copper Shimmer cardstock.
The sentiment for today’s card comes from a printed sentiment set called Big Sentiments 1.0, also from Paper Rose Studio. I also added some clear crystals here and there as a finishing touch.
That’s all for today. I hope you have a wonderful week. I’ll be back soon, once I hit civilisation again!
Blessings,
