Side Stepping into Spring - Kelly Bates
Hello friends! Happy September What a year it’s been so far and for me it’s set to only get busier and busier as the Christmas season rolls around. Today I’m sharing an oldie but a goodie for the card design, it’s a side step card! I’ve used papers from the Spring Garden and Dream in Pastel collections so let’s get into it!
Paper Rose Products used: Spring Garden B 12 x 12 Patterned Paper, A5 Dream In Pastels Paper Collection, Supporting Sentiments 1.0 White, Happy Birthday Large Die, Smooth White Cardstock, liquid glue
Other products used: 12 x 12 Light Pink Cardstock, paper trimmer, foam tape
Technique:
- Create card base; I used this template: https://www.pinterest.com.au/pin/335518240960720764/
- Cut Smooth white cardstock to fit onto each of the steps, plus front panel and inside panel and glued into place. Cut the pastel pink paper down to fit onto the 3 steps and front panel and glued into place.
- Fussy cut all the elements and attach using glue and foam tape.
- Die Cut Happy Birthday sentiment twice in pink cardstock, layer together and attach to front panel, add the supporting sentiment to the top left.
