Sending Hugs - Kelly Wood

Hiya friends, welcome to my latest post for Paper Rose! Today I’m sharing a gorgeous card featuring the Inky Colour 6×6 Paper Collection and one of my newer favourites, the Bryony Wreath die, so let’s get into it.
To create this card I selected the blue/yellow patterned paper from the Inky Colour 6×6 Paper Collection and cut it using the largest Stitched Rectangle Die, and glued that to my A6 Card Base. I die cut the Bryony Wreath die and a butterfly from the Little Etched Butterflies die set from Alabaster White Shimmer Cardstock, making sure to keep the leaf die cuts from inside the wreath’s floral detail. I glued the wreath onto the card, and added a touch of glue to just the bottom of each of the leaf die cuts which allows them to sit up from the card. I then glued the centre of the butterfly to the top right of the wreath to allow the wings to be gently folded up. I stamped the “Sending Hugs” sentiment from the Simple Script Greetings stamp set onto a small scrap of the Alabaster cardstock and glued it into the centre of the wreath. I then added five clear crystals around the sentiment to finish the card.
I’ll be offline for a couple of days as we’re still getting sorted from our move so I’ll see you at the start of next month! – Kelly.
