Hello crafty friends. I have a set of two cards for you today that show that you can mix and match your supplies to get lots of new combinations.

When I travel, I often stamp a bunch of images to colour and grab a mixed bag of Copics to take with me. Sometimes I get a lot of time to colour, sometimes the images come home and get stored. I recently moved my craft space upstairs, and in doing so I organised all my supplies. I found that I had a lot of uncoloured images all over the place, so I put them in one place, nice and handy to where I have my Zoom meetings (shh, don’t tell!) and will now grab a few to colour while I chat. This is the result!

I had a bunch of leaves and flowers from various sets ( Peonies, Hummingbird Garden and Doodle Flowers) and I coloured these and arranged them into bouquets. Some of the images had matching dies, some were fussy cut. There’s no continuity, except in the colours of Copic markers that I used (Copic B91, 93, 95, 97, 99, and G20, 21, 24, 28)

Once I had arranged the flowers as I wished into two bouquets, I laid a piece of Press and Seal, a light tack plastic sheet, over them to keep them in position. Then I layered them onto two very different backgrounds to give two different looks.

This first card uses a background made with Distress Inks in Shabby Shutters and Faded Jeans. I cut this panel with this Stitched Borders die. I glued the leaves down and popped the flowers up with one and then two layers of foam tape. The final touch (on both cards) was Nuvo drops.

This second card uses a portion of the Circlet Layered Background Die 1 ( part of a set of three). I cut this in white for a tone on tone background, and then added the bouquet on top, gluing all but one flower down flat, and popping the front flower up with foam tape.
