Merry Christmas - Donna Lewis

Hello crafty friends. How are the Christmas cards going? Do you make any? A handful of special cards for special friends? Or do you go into mass production mode?
I’m sharing a way to get a bunch of cards made quickly today, using the B sides of papers.
Most paper packs have an ‘A’ side, with cut aparts, large designs, or elements to fussy cut. The reverse sides, the “B” sides are often more tonal, more subdued, and less ‘in your face’. They make fabulous backgrounds, and that’s what we’re going to do today.
I’ve combined the b sides with some bold dies for quick and simple Christmas cards that are easy to mass produce.
These first two cards use the Merry and Bright die from Paper Rose Studio, which you’ve seen me use quite a bit lately. The two papers used were Winter Backgrounds (above) and Winter Gathering (below)
The next pair of cards uses the b side of a paper from the Oh So Sweet Christmas papers, and the Merry Christmas Everyone die. I kept the outside of the die and used it as a frame to ‘jigsaw’ in the individual letters. A few bits of sparkle finished off the card.
Finally, I used the Merry Peek a Boo die to cut a panel from Gold Shimmer cardstock, and layered this over the b side of a paper from the Holy Night paper pack. Stay tuned for a full set of cards using this paper pad, coming up soon. I added the word Christmas, cut from a sentiment in the Crisp Christmas Sentiments pack.
I hope that this gives you some ideas for some quick and easy Christmas cards that can be produced en masse should you so desire!
Until next time,
Stay safe,
Donna
