Mediterranean Summer Cards - Donna Lewis

Hello crafty friends. I’ve been making so many cards that they don’t even fit into one video!!! I’ve used the Mediterranean Summer 6 x 6 papers, and the matching Cut Apart sheets, and just kept going until everything was gone, down to the last little pieces.
Why two videos? The videos are quite different to each other. In the first video, I talk about changing Imperial sketches to metric measurements. This is really useful for those of us in Australia, Asia and Europe too. There were two main things I wanted to think about when making this video. The first was obviously the practical how to of changing the shapes and sizes using new measurements. But the other important consideration is whether we need to make changes at all, and I looked at that too. You can see that video below.
The video spends some time looking at the conversions of sizes, and I refer to a chart during that video that you can find below. See the video for how to use it. Spoiler – You don’t need to use this chart or any maths to make beautiful cards!
There are too many cards to show them all individually, so here’s a favourite from the first set.
The first set of cards uses sketches from Sandy Allnock’s Operation Write Home Sketches (numbers 30 – 39), and you can see the cards below. All of them are different in terms of how and whether to convert them to metric, and I go over each one individually.
The second set of cards is all about letting the papers dictate the designs, and then about using up scraps as I come to the end of the pack. The video for these cards will be out later this week, so feel free to head over to donnaisplayingpaper on YouTube and subscribe if you want to know when that one comes out. Here’s one of the cards from that set that highlights the lovely embossed vases.
You can see a sneak preview of the cards in the second set (17 cards) below.
I’ll be back soon with some more cards, and back even sooner over on YouTube with that second video! Until then, stay safe, and stay crafty.
Blessings,
Donna
