I started with that fantastic pattern paper from the Maya’s Garden 12x12 Paper Collection and gave it a little ‘grunge’ treatment by tracing the flowers and leaves in the corners with a black journalling pen (messy like!), cutting around the petals of the largest flowers so I could gently bend them up, adding a few extra florals from the die cuts which I also outlined in black pen, and of course, black splatters!

From there I grabbed my photo, added a few layers of the pattern papers behind, and a tuck here and there of more die cuts (which I traced with black). I added a title from my stash and voila!
