Last Minute Christmas Cards - Donna Lewis

Hello crafty friends. It’s Donna here, slowly recovering from my big Japanese exam. The strangest thing is that I really can’t remember any of it. The time in the exam is so frantic, with a lot of questions in a very short amount of time, so I’ll just have to wait to see how I went!
I have a set of cards today that I made using some gold papers that I ordered from Paper Rose back in September, and have only just had the time to use! I’m so glad that exam is over!
I had a gold paper pack (Christmas Fun), a set of gold sentiments, and some gold foiled cutouts that made the cards very quick to make. Many of the cards, like the one below were made using very simple paper plus sentiment combinations, but I then used some of these cards as inspiration for later cards.
This card below uses cutouts and was based on the patterned paper from the card above.
The card below has an interesting story. It should have been a simple card, but I accidentally dropped the sentiment and green strip onto the background paper, and even though the background paper survived the incident, the green strip of paper got quite scrunched in the rescue, and so I wrapped some gold thread around it to hide the damage! Nothing gets wasted here!
The last picture shows a card where I used a triangle die to cut a Christmas tree. I added some Copic colouring to the presents from the cut outs, and
I used the triangle that was leftover from this card to make another card, with a white tree this time. It’s good to have a little stash of cards ready for emergencies!
I hope that you are having a wonderful start to December, and that you are finding time to enjoy the ride!
Until next time,
Blessings,
Donna
