Hey Cupcake - Miriam Chessum

Hi crafty friends – thanks so much for stopping by to visit my card corner. Did you have a great Easter break? I had a relaxing few days with my family, obviously easting too much chocolate. But it’s time to let the Easter eggs go – let’s move on to cupcakes!!! Today I am here with a design team post for Paper Rose Studio featuring the super sweet Hey Cupcake stamp set. Lets get started…..
I started off by creating a the card base that measures 4.25 x 5.5 inches in a vibrant purple cardstock, I then die cut a panel of white Neenah 80lb cardstock using the Pierced Rectangle Nesting dies. On the white panel I ink blended some Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry ink around the centre of the panel.
I moved on to stamping the three cupcake images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Copic markers. Once the colouring was dry, I die cut the images using the coordinating die and then added white gel pen highlights. For todays card I chose to use the following Copic combinations…..
Pinks – R89, R85, R83, R81
Purples – BV17, BV13, BV02, BV00
Yellows – Y38, Y35, Y11
Neutrals – E51, E50
I lined up the cupcakes in the position where I wanted them to go on the white panel and placed the sentiment stamp in place and stamped with dark purple dye ink. I then adhered the cupcakes with foam tape and glued the panel into place on the card base.
That completes this quick and easy card for today. I hope this card inspires you to get crafty some tie soon.
Thanks again for visiting…..
