Happy Scrappy Sixteenth - Kelly Bates
Hello friends!
You might have noticed I’m quite enjoying making slimline cards and today I’m a fun paper pieced card that you can create from scraps, so let’s get into it!
Paper Rose Products used: Slimline Comic Strip 2 die, Jumbo Numbers Metal Die, Mini Adventures 6 x 6 paper collection
Other products used: 21cm x 20cm panel heavyweight white cardstock, light grey cardstock, dark grey cardstock, die cut machine, liquid glue, enamel dots
Technique: Using your larger 20cm x 21cm panel, score at the 10cm mark, fold, burnish and set aside. I die cut the comic strip panel die from the light grey cardstock and the numbers from the dark grey cardstock. I then cut small pieces from the paper collection and die cut each of those with the comic strip die. I glued my grey border piece onto my card base, then inlaid each of the coloured paper pieces. I added my numbers to the right hand side and then finished the card with enamel dots.
