Happy Birthday Card Using Christmas Roses - Kelly Bates
A Birthday Card from Christmas Products? – Paper Rose
Hello friends! I’m a big proponent of the “use what you have” ethos in making so today I’m sharing a card that I’ve created using one of my most favourite Christmas paper collections from last year, Cozy Christmas. I’ve paired it up with 2 Christmas dies, so come check out my post and see what I’ve made!
Paper Rose Products used: Cozy Christmas 12 x 12 paper collection, Christmas Flowers Die Set, Christmas Rose die set, Nesting Slimline Rectangles Dies, Big Sentiments 1.0 Sentiment Sheets, liquid glue
Other products used: A4 white cardstock (300gsm), vellum, foam tape, Milled Lavender Distress Ink.

Technique: I took my A4 sheet of paper and cut it down to be 20cm x 21cm and folded it in half to create my base. Using my Cozy Christmas Paper, I cut the second largest slimline rectangle panel from one of the patterned papers and attached it to my card base. I then cut a bunch of flowers from scraps of different pink/beige tones, as well as 5 of the leave sprigs from the Christmas Rose die set from the vellum. I foam mounted each of the layers of the flower on top of each other creating 2 larger flowers and one smaller. I laid them out on my card, then tucked in my vellum leaves, cutting them down and reusing pieces as needed. I cut my sentiment out of the sentiment sheets and rounded the corners and foam mounted it to finish the card.
