Graduation Cards - Donna Lewis

Hi crafty friends. I’m bringing you my first post in 5 years as a full time resident of Australia! We arrived back here on June 29, and I’ve been busy working my way through Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. We now have food, shelter and warmth, and obviously the next on the list is cardmaking! I have a bunch of cards to share with you today, which were made for the graduating class for the school we were involved with in Japan.
Although these are all graduation cards, this same die exists for the following occasions – anniversary, wedding, new baby, retirement and engagement. So by just changing up the background paper, this same idea would be very multi purpose.
The die I used is the aptly named Congratulations on your Graduation die, and the paper I used come from a range of Paper Rose Studio papers including Nature Stroll for the first set of three cards, Urban Garden Gold for the cards above and below this paragraph, and Textures 1.0 for the final card. (This was a 12×12 paper – I use the papers in this pack for photo backgrounds on occasion)
I used a stitched rectangle die to cut the background paper and the patterned paper. Other than a couple of glitter gems on one of the cards, the cards are without embellishment. They were very simple and quick to make in multiples, which was what I needed, because in the American school in Japan that we were involved with, graduation cards were a huge thing, and I needed lots!
I hope that you’re having a super day, and that you remember to congratulate yourself on your achievements big and small! Until next time,
Blessings,
Donna
