Fussy Cutting Boutiques - Donna Lewis

Hi crafty friends. I recently had a little bit of down time, and seeing that I had some scissors close to hand, I started cutting! I was chatting with a friend, and I like to have busy hands while I’m doing other things, so I got a bunch of things cut out, including these flowers and butterflies.
These elements are cut from Paper Rose Studio’s Emily’s Garden 12 x 12 paper pack. This design also comes in a 6 x 6 scaled down version, but I decided that more is more, and bought the larger pack! Once I had a bunch of elements cut, I laid them out to make a long thin bouquet, starting with the more rounded and larger flowers in the middle, and ‘fading’ out to the smaller, thinner and more wispy elements.
I laid these onto a slimline card base from Paper Rose. I have recently bought a bunch of these with matching envelopes, and I’m working my way through them surprisingly quickly! I used a mix of foam tape and regular glue.
These 12 by 12 papers come with a contrast strip along one edge, and I used one of these for the horizontal strip along the card. I made a mistake when cutting this, so the strip is actually three smaller pieces of paper and the joins are covered by flowers.
The sentiment comes from the Big Black and White sentiments, and this is one of the smaller sentiments in this set. This combination of fonts is one of my favourites, and I’ve nearly used all of this design on the papers.
Are you surprised to see me not colour on a card? I’m sure the colouring will be back next time. Until then, stay safe
Blessings
Donna
