Decorative Border Christmas Card - Kelly Bates
Hello friends! Into December we go and today I’m sharing my last Christmas Card design for Paper Rose for 2020. I’ve gotten through quite a bit of my paper collections but still had a couple of panels left so today I’m showing you a great use for those “last of” panels which would be easy to reproduce, so let’s get into it!
Paper Rose Products used: Decorative Border die, Christmas Joy Paper Collection, Crisp Christmas Sentiment Sheets, Silver Shimmer Cardstock, White Smooth Cardstock
Other products used: small scissors, liquid glue, foam tape.
Technique: I started by cutting a piece of the Christmas Joy Paper Collection to 10 x 14.5cm, then using the Decorative Border die, cut one side off to reveal the gorgeous pattern. I then used liquid glue to adhere it to a piece of the silver shimmer cardstock, and then adhered that to a card base made from the Smooth White Cardstock. I then cut out my sentiment from the Crisp Christmas pack, backed it with more of the silver shimmer cardstock and foam mounted. I finished off by fussy cutting a small poinsettia, berries and a branch from the cut apart sheet included in the Christmas Joy collection and glued them to the right hand side.
