Happy March my friends!

I have two cards to share with you today that use the same stamp set, but mix it up with different colour palettes and different media.

The stamp set is Daisy Bouquet by Paper Rose Studio. For this first card, I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and then coloured the image using copic markers. Once I had coloured the image, I made a mask from a removable sticker, and masked the flowers before ink blending lightly out from the centre with Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass, using this new blending brush. It’s great for getting a nice soft coverage.

A couple of clear sequins finished the card, and hid the small spot that somehow appeared just below the sentiment. The panel was cut using a stitched rectangles die set, and mounted onto green cardstock.

For the next card, I used watercolours. I first stamped the images in Versamark Ink, and heat embossed in white. I masked the first set of three flowers, then stamped and embossed a second set of flowers to the right of them. I then laid down a light wash of blue over the whole card. then dropped in just a little purple in the corner while the paper was still wet.

I coloured the flowers using watercolour markers, adding marker to the area I wanted the darkest, and slowly blending that out and thinning the colour with water. The petals are coloured with Zig Clean Colour brush marker number 230- possibly my all time favourite Zig. The leaves are coloured with my all time favourite Altenew watercolour marker – Moss. The centres of the flowers are a mix of black and brown. Once everything was dry I scribbled some of the pink Zig onto my mat and mixed it with water, then spattered it over the sky.
