Cupcake Birthday Wishes - Kelly Bates

Hello friends! My second post for Paper Rose for September already! Today I’m combining some fun newer products to bring a smile to the recipients face, so let’s get started!
Other products used: Blue cardstock panel, scraps of light blue and yellow cardstock, acetate, foam tape, liquid glue.
Technique: I started by die cutting 7 cupcake tops from the yellow cardstock, and one base from the light blue, and the base lines only from the darker blue cardstock. I glued 5 of the yellow toppers together for my shaker element and set aside to dry. From the Paper Collection I picked the blue love hearts page and cut the sheet in half. I then positioned my cupcake topper die to the left-hand side of the hearts panel and cut it out. I flipped the panel over and attached the small square of acetate behind the cut-out part. I then flipped it back over and attached the two remaining cupcake top pieces inside the die cut out. I attached the base pieces directly to the paper panel. I flipped the panel over again, added my micro-beads to the openings and then closed it off using an off-cut piece of yellow paper from the paper collection. I added foam tape across the back of the panel and attached it to my blue cardstock panel. I finished the card by creating a couple of banner style pieces from leftover pieces in my paper collection, adding my sentiment strip and a few little silver hearts.
