Cozy Winter Merry Christmas - Miriam Chessum

HI crafty friends and thanks for visiting my blog once again, I really do appreciate it. Today I’m here with a design team post for Paper Rose Studio. My New Year’s resolution was to get my Christmas cards done well in advance this year and with that in mind, I am back with another Christmas card. Today I will be featuring the cute Cozy Winter stamp set.
I started of by creating a card base that measured 4.25 x 5.5 inches using a red cardstock. I then cut two panels of white cardstock, all measuring slightly smaller. I stamped the images from the Cozy Winter stamp set using a Copic friendly dye ink and then created masks for them. I placed the masks in position and then stamped some trees.
I then coloured the images using Copic markers. For this colouring I have used the following Copic combinations –
R29, R27, R24, E47, E44, E43, E42, E41, B93, B91, YR06, C6, C4, C2, YG03
I then added the sky by ink blending Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks. I drew in the snow drifts using Copic B00, B000, B000 and then splattered the whole panel with white gouache paint.
I stamped the sentiment onto red card stock using white pigment ink and covered with fine white embossing powder and heat set until melted. I trimmed the sentiment strip and added to the card with foam tape and glued all the panels to the card base. That competes the card for today.
I hope you might be inspired to get started on your Christmas cards early this year too!!!
