Chevron Hello - Kelly Bates
Hello friends! Welcome to our blog 2020…
hope it’s been a lovely holiday break for you. Today I’m sharing a card I’ve designed for Paper Rose, so please pop through for all the details.
To create the card, I’ve used the following Paper Rose goodies:
Other goodies needed are:
- Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb and 110lb,
- Distress Oxides in Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and Blueprint Sketch,
- Sakura White Gelly Roll 08 Pen,
- Versamark ink and Ranger White embossing powder plus heat tool
- vellum,
- black cardstock
- liquid glue, foam tape
Technique:
I inked a 10cm x 14cm panel of 80lb Neenah in Wilted Violet oxide, then spritzed with water and allowed to dry. I then covered that in patches of the Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and Blueprint Sketch oxides, spritzed again and allowed to dry completely.
I die cut two sets of chevrons and the Hello sentiment from the Ultra Violet paper pack, and the background layer of the hello die set in vellum. I also cut two extra hello words to use behind the vellum to give the word some height. I glued down each chevron piece, layered up my die cut Hello sentiment, attached that and then stamped and embossed the “my friend” sentiment, which is mounted with foam tape.
I finished the card by adding dots across the background with my Sakura white Gelly Roll pen and mounting to my 110lb Neenah card base.
