Cards on the Wild - Donna Lewis
Hello crafty friends. I’m back with a set of 9 simple cards today. They use a fun paper and Die Cut set from Paper Rose called Animal Kingdom. I’m sneaking this post in before I sit down to write my last essay for the winter holiday term. (What kind of crazy is a holiday unit??) It’s been super interesting though, looking at the ethics of translation and interpreting, and I’ve learned a lot. If only I didn’t hate writing essays with such a passion! Anyway, we were talking about cards…
The thing I’m proudest of in this set of cards is the ways to use scrap pieces up, which I’ve put in the second half of the video which you can see below.
The first cards use a fun polaroid format, with a bunch of different sentiment ideas.
Once these cards were made, I had a bunch of leftover strips of patterned paper from the backgrounds. I then used these in several different ways to create five more cards.
This second set of cards contains some of my favourites, even though they’re (only) leftovers. I hope you’ve enjoyed these cards, and that the video gives you some ideas for using your own leftovers.
Until next time, may your days be full of adventure!
Blessings,
Donna
