Hello friends! The last of my August posts for Paper Rose today and I’m sharing a simple but colourful friendship card to send to loved ones you may not be able to see at the moment, so let’s get into it!

Paper Rose Products used: Elena Butterfly Die, Diagonal Stripe Coverplate die, Black and White Sentiment Sheets, Paper Rose inks in Poppy, Tangerine, Lemon, Grass and Navy.

Other products used: White cardstock, Gold Glitter Cardstock, foam tape, liquid glue.

Technique: I started this card by cutting my coverplate die and then trimming another piece of white cardstock to the same size. I then used the direct to paper method with the inks, leaving the raw edges as is for a bit of depth. Once the inked piece dried, I glued the coverplate panel over the top and set under a book to dry flat. In the meantime, I die cut my butterfly from gold glitter cardstock and trimmed out my sentiment. I then assembled the card as shown above using foam tape.
