A Nutcracker Christmas - Kelly Wood

Hiya friends…. it’s time for me to start dropping Christmas cards here finally! If you’ve been around for awhile you’ll know that I LOVE Christmas time and I always get (a little too) excited each year. We’re starting out this time with a pair of 5 x 7 cards… not my usual size but I wanted to use the large image and it wouldn’t work any smaller, so let’s get started!
To start I created two 5in x 7in card bases from white cardstock and set them aside. I then cut both the large nutcracker paper and nutcrackers in a row paper from the Jolly Holidays 12 x 12 paper collection down to 4.75in x 6.75in and glued them onto a card base.
To the large nutcracker card I’ve added gold Wink Of Stella to the buckles across his chest and the gold area at the top of his hat and set aside to dry while I cut my sentiment from the Crisp Christmas sentiment sheets and edged it with a black (water-based) marker. Once dried, I glued my sentiment down.
To the rows of nutcrackers card I backed a sentiment from the Crisp Christmas sentiment Sheets with an off-cut of the striped paper and foam mounted it to the centre of the card.
I’ll see you back here for another set of cards very soon! – Kelly 🙂
